Infrastructure

The Communications Laboratory (LCOM) is situated within the Faculty of Engineering at the Federal University of Juiz de Fora (UFJF). Encompassing an area of approximately 90 m², LCOM is equipped with workstations for both researchers and the development of prototypes. Its facilities are well equipped, boasting a diverse array of instruments that range from equipment for signal generation, acquisition, and analysis to an anechoic chamber designed for electromagnetic compatibility testing. Especially notable is the presence of state-of-the-art software-defined radios, empowering the development of prototypes across a variety of communication systems, encompassing radar and positioning functionalities as well. In essence, LCOM offers a robust infrastructure that supports the modeling, prototyping, and benchmarking of IoT networks covering frequencies of up to 6 GHz.
