2023 IoT Forum
The 2023 IoT Forum takes place at the University of São Paulo (USP) from October 25th to 27th, 2023, in São Paulo, Brazil. Professor Moisés V. Ribeiro is serving as the General Chair of the event, bringing his expertise to ensure a dynamic and insightful symposium. The symposium will gather leading researchers and specialists from various fields, including signal processing and sensing, 5G/6G networks, smart cities, artificial intelligence and machine learning, big data and IoT data analytics, security and privacy, IoT communications, and much more. The event is organized by the Brazilian Forum of Internet of Things and the Brazilian Microelectronics Society (SBMicro), with institutional support and sponsorship from various societies and governmental foundations. One of the highlights of the event is the lecture by Professor Andrea M. Tonello, from the University of Klagenfurt, Austria. In this lecture, Prof. Dr. Tonello addresses the topic “Generative and Discriminative AI Models for Next Generation Networked Cyber-Physical Systems”.

- Tommaso Melodia, William Lincoln Smith Professor at Northeastern University, USA, shares insights on “Open 6G: Toward a Reference Architecture for Secure AI-Driven NextG Open RAN Systems”.
- Alessandro Bassi, representing EURESCOM GmbH, Germany, and IoTItaly, Italy, presents a lecture entitled “IoT, a Retrospective on the Past Expectations Towards a Sustainable Roadmap”.
- Thais Batista, from the Federal University of Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, discusses the “Challenges and Directions to Break Silos in Smart Cities Applications Development”.
- Adrian M. Ionescu, from the École Polytechnique Fédérale de Lausanne (EPFL), Switzerland, presents “Towards an Energy Efficient Spiking Internet of Things”.
